NEW DELHI — Lenovo, a leading personal computer manufacturer, announced the launch of a new generation of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled ThinkPad and ThinkCentre PCs for the enterprise market in India. The launch, which took place on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, introduced a smarter and more secure portfolio of devices designed to meet the needs of the modern workforce.
The newly launched product lineup includes the ThinkPad T490 and X390 laptops, the ultra-portable ThinkCentre Nano and Nano IoT desktops, and the ThinkPad P43s and ThinkPad P1 Gen 2 mobile workstations.
In addition to the new PCs, Lenovo showcased the ThinkVision 43.3-inch P44w ultra-wide dual-display monitor and the ThinkSmart Hub 500, an all-in-one conferencing solution aimed at simplifying meetings.
“At Lenovo, we understand that today’s workforce is seeking devices that offer intuitive, secure features and a faster, higher performance to improve their workday,” said Rahul Agarwal, CEO and Managing Director of Lenovo India. He highlighted that the new ThinkPad range features “industry-leading security with ThinkShield and AI-powered PrivacyGuard” for business professionals on the move.
The company also introduced ThinkShield 2.0, a comprehensive 360-degree security platform. This platform is designed to secure devices from the manufacturing stage through their entire lifecycle, ensuring they are not compromised. ThinkPad PrivacyGuard is a new software feature that protects a user’s screen from onlookers.
The new ThinkCentre M90n series was touted as the world’s most compact commercial desktop, offering powerful performance in a small form factor. The ThinkCentre M90n-1 Nano is designed for clutter-free work environments, while the ThinkCentre M90n-1 Nano IoT is built for more demanding thermal and vibration environments, such as manufacturing.
The ThinkPad T490, powered by an 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA graphics, is aimed at multitasking professionals, featuring a thin design and Dolby Audio Premium. The ThinkPad P43s is highlighted as one of the lightest portable workstations with support for 100% Adobe colour gamut and Dolby Vision HDR technology. The flagship ThinkPad P1 is equipped with Intel Xeon processors and 4GB NVIDIA Quadro P1000 discrete graphics to support Client AI.
